You can direct Destiny Fundraising Manager to send an email on scheduled dates throughout a campaign. The system sends the email to contacts associated with the selected contact type (such as Parents).

Before scheduling an email, do the following:

Note: The email contains an Unsubscribe link that recipients can click to opt out of all future email messages from Destiny Fundraising Manager.

To set up an automated email message: 

  1. In the header, select Fundraisers > Campaigns. The Campaigns page appears. 

  2. In the row of the campaign you want to work with, select the gear icon > Promote/Email. 

  3. A pop-up appears. At Send a Mass E-Mail to Potential Donors When Your Campaign is Published, click Click Here to Manage.

  4. Click the Scheduled Mass-Email sub-tab.

  5. At Contact Group, use the drop-down to select the contact type who will receive this message.

    Note: You can only select one Contact Group.

  6. At Subject, type a subject for your email message.

  7. At Email Templates, use the drop-down to select the email template created for this message.

  8. The Message field displays the text from the selected email template, and a URL link to the campaign page. Edit the text as needed.

  9. Use the Select Email Frequency drop-down to select one of the following:

    • Every 3 Calendar Days Until Campaign End Date

    • Weekly (Every 7 Calendar Days) Until Campaign End Date

    • Bi-Weekly (Every 14 Calendar Days) Until Campaign End Date

    • Monthly (Every 30 Calendar Days) Until Campaign End Date

    Notes:

    • You can only select one of these pre-set options.

    • As a reminder, the campaign’s end date appears in the top-right of the pop-up.

  10. The last field, Check this box if you do not want contacts who have made a donation to your campaign, to receive scheduled emails, is selected by default. Deselect the checkbox, if desired.

  11. Do one of the following:

    • To test your settings, click Send Test Email (First in Sequence). A pop-up appears. Type up to five email addresses, separated by a comma, and then click Send Test Email. Verify the recipient(s) receive the email on the first date of the selected sequence.

    • To finish the process, click Schedule Mass Email. You return to the Campaigns page.

    Notes:

    • You can select the gear icon > Promote/Email > Send a Mass-Email to Potential Donors When Your Campaign is Published > Click Here to Manage > Scheduled Mass-Email to view a pop-up with details about the scheduled email.

    • To cancel a scheduled email, click Cancel on the pop-up.
