Once you have imported or manually entered your contacts, you can send email to promote your campaign. The system automatically inserts the URL of the selected campaign in the message. That way, your contacts can easily jump to the campaign page to learn more and give!

You can send an email when you compose it, or schedule it for later.

  1. In the header, select Fundraisers > Campaigns. The Campaigns page appears.

  2. In the row of the campaign you want to work with, select the gear icon > Promote/Email.

  3. On the pop-up, at Send a Mass E-Mail to Potential Donors When Your Campaign is Published, click Click Here to Manage.

A pop-up appears, and defaults to the Promote Email sub-tab.

  4. At To:, click Add Recipient. The pop-up lists the First Name, Last Name, Email address, and Contact Group for your contacts.

  5. Do one of the following. To send the email to:

    • All recipients, select the checkbox next to the First Name column in the header row.

    • One or more recipients, select the checkbox(es) next to their name(s).

    • A contact group, click the Contact Group drop-down, and select the contact group.

  6. Click Done to close the pop-up.

Note: The system sends the email as a blind carbon copy. A recipient’s email address is not visible to the other recipients listed in the To field.

  7. At Subject, type your subject line.

  8. If there is a custom email template you want to use, click in the Email Templates field and select it from the drop-down.

  9. At Message, the URL link to the campaign page automatically appears. Type in the main content of your email. If you selected a template, that text appears (which you can edit as needed). A rich text editor provides a number of formatting options.

Note: To insert an image, click the 'insert image' icon. In the URL field, copy and paste the URL of the image, type alternative text, and adjust the size and spacing. Then click OK.

If you selected a custom email template at the Email Templates field, that text appears in the Message field. Edit it as needed.

  10. Click One-Time Send to send the message immediately.
